Peanut Butter Snickerdoodles
With Valentine's Day quickly approaching I couldn't resist making a sweet treat this week to celebrate. Project Soiree Turns 4!
Cheers! Project Soiree turns 4 today! It seems like just yesterday I was enjoying a cup of coffee in my apartment gazing out my window at the aftermath of the famous 2011 blizzard, and decided today would be a perfect day to finally start a blog. I called my sister and explained my idea for Project Soiree that would document my interests and experiences and her response was "go for it."

Tasty Tuesday: Christmas Crack
Whatever you call this holiday snack (Christmas Crack/ White Trash/ Christmas Trash/ Reindeer Chow) it's pretty much the best thing ever. Not only is this mix super easy to make, but its the perfect combination of sweet & salty and I'm warning you now it's highly addicting. This mix is great for gifting around the holiday season, but I would be shocked if you have enough to give after you try this recipe. Seriously this is the best thing ever.
Christmas Crack
Ingredients:
2 cups Rice Chex
1 1/2 cups pretzel sticks
1-2 cups M&Ms
1-2 cups peanuts
2 (12 oz) bags white chocolate chips
Directions:
In a large bowl combine the Chex, pretzels, M&Ms, and peanuts (you could also use Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, Crispix, or Cheerios). Make sure you stir these ingredients so everything is evenly distributed in the bowl.
In a medium bowl heat the white chocolate in the microwave until melted. Once the chocolate has a smooth consistency, pour the chocolate over the cereal mix and fold the mixture with a spatula.
When the entire batch has been combined, place the mixture on a large cookie sheet covered in parchment or wax paper. Let the mixture dry for at least 3 hours so the chocolate can cool and harden.
