One of my favorite parts of summer is enjoying a glass of wine and dinner outdoors. So where can you find the best outdoor seating in Grand Rapids? Here are my top 5 picks for alfresco dinning this summer.
1. Donkey
For someone who absolutely loves Mexican cuisine and a fun patio Donkey is a win-win. Enjoy some tacos and tequila (their margaritas are out of this world) with friends and toast to the summer underneath overhead strings of light.
2. Rose's
Rose's has a long history in Grand Rapids. Located on Reeds Lake, Rose's offers delicious Mediterranean, American and Italian food for a perfect mix that everyone will enjoy. With a patio overlooking the lake it's the ideal place to enjoy a their famous homemade root chips and wood fired pizza while watching the sail boats.
3. Tre Cugini
Head downtown to one of the best Italian restaurants in Grand Rapids and pretend you're in Italy at Tre Cugini. Enjoy some house made pasta (the best) and a glass of wine while overlooking Rosa Park Circle. Save room for some house made gelato to finish your meal alfresco.
4. Terra
Those who know me well know that I'm slightly obsessed with Terra's food and patio. I truly appreciate this locally sourced farm-to-table restaurant that focuses on seasonal ingredients and offers many vegetarian dishes. I'm a huge fan of their wood fired pizzas (the buffalo pizza is my favorite), the apple cheddar salad and a flight of rose.
Located in East Grand Rapids, Jose Babushka's is one of my favorite places to enjoy happy hour with friends on the patio. The chips and homemade salsa (I'm obsessed) is truly the best in Grand Rapids. They also have a fantastic margarita and the guacamole is out of this world.
