Bonobo Winery

Bonobo, Winery, Wine, Northern Michigan

If you haven't taken a trip to Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula you're missing out on some fabulous wine and incredible views (trust me). My family and I visit this area each summer, but we recently spent an afternoon wine tasting at some of our favorite vineyards for a little winter escape. We have a few vineyards that we absolutely love, but Bonobo Winery has officially topped our list.

Bonobo Winery prides itself on being "a place you can't wait to get back to, with wines you cannot wait to share" and I couldn't agree more. With a rustic, relaxed and yet sophisticated atmosphere enhanced by amazing views it was the perfect place to enjoy a winter afternoon indoors tasting wine. We really felt like we had been invited into a friend's living room for a glass of wine.

Not only is the atmosphere inviting, but the wine and the staff at Bonobo are incredible. I loved the 2013 Chardonnay Stainless with hints of tropical fruit and bright citrus that I'm dreaming of enjoying on a warm summer afternoon outdoors. The 2013 Pinot Gris was another favorite with a deep fruit flavor and hints of spiced pear.

Thank you Bonobo Winery for such a fabulous afternoon, and we can't wait to come back this summer to enjoy your wine outdoors. Cheers!
