What I'm Reading Now: Love Zahra

Today I'm thrilled to feature Zahra from Love Zahra as part of my What I'm Reading Now series. Zahra and I met last fall at the Empire Hotel during NYFW and I've become a huge fan of her blog. As a stylist and Style Setter for Woodfield Mall, Zahra has an amazing sense of style that she showcases on Love Zahra. I love browsing her blog for insights on the latest trends and how to incorporate them into my wardrobe.

Get to know Zahra:

1. What are you currently reading?
I used to love reading novels before I had my son, but I rarely get time to read more than magazines and newspapers these days. However, I did just finish a book called Small Moves, Big Changes - about how to create and maintain manageable realistic changes in your life. You have to create very specific goals, like for one, I resolved to stop eating candy at work from the accounting department in the afternoons, and I am proud to say so far it has really worked!

2. Favorite recipe or restaurant?
I grew up in Northern California, so my favorite thing in the world is a great cioppino - it is like a seafood stew - It is kind of messy so I wouldn't recommend it for a first date or anything. But then again if he is down with you digging in to a bowl of cioppino, he is probably a keeper in my opinion. I'm still looking for a place in Chicago but my California favorite is Phil's Fish House in Santa Cruz.

3. What's your favorite thing about blogging?
Hands-down my favorite part of blogging is getting introduced to the amazing people that I wouldn't have had the opportunity to if I wasn't a blogger. My favorite people to meet are the creative people - fashion and jewelry designers, photographers, and stylists. I was a teeny bit star struck when I met Nigel Barker in New York during fashion week, the same week I met Betsy Johnson randomly on the street, but I'm not bragging or anything! Also, I've become friends in real life with so many bloggers that I followed - I can tell you it is really amazing to be surrounded by a group of inspiring people who are passionate about the same things as you are.

4. Five things on your wish list
  1. These lace up sandals for spring/summer
  2. I am obsessed with this line of organic skincare for babies - I started using it on myself too!
  3. This one-piece bathing suit for an upcoming vacation
  4. If I could splurge on one thing now, it would be these floral pumps. But I just may have to pick up these instead.
  5. I flipped through this book at a friend's house and I've been wanting it ever since
5.  Favorite quote?
"In the end, only kindness matters..." - Jewel
