What I'm Reading Now: How To Create a Gallery Wall

One of the things I've been dying to add to my apartment is a gallery wall to feature some of my artwork, personal photos and favorite prints I've found online. It didn't occur to me until I started the project that I actually needed a plan for a layout and design to make this work. It was important for me to create a balance of personal items (an old photo family photo, a photo of my favorite place in Glen Arbor, and a water color painting of the Spanish Steps from Rome) and fun prints. I also wanted to mix up the size and color of the frames to give the space an eclectic vibe. To help make the process a little easier I scattered the frames on the floor to create a layout that would work on the wall, and then used a pencil to mark where I wanted to hang them.

Here are some articles that I found extremely helpful for starting a gallery wall:
Apartment Therapy - How To: Create a Gallery Wall
The Glitter Guide - How To: Hang a Gallery Wall

2. Elizabeth Mayville Top Knot print

Crossing off number 2 on my 101 in 1001 list!
