I recently picked up Rob Bell's book Drops Like Stars to gain some insight into the complex relationship of suffering and creativity. I know this concept sounds a little deep, but in light of what's going on around us right now I really needed this to gain some perspective. When I look back on my life some of the most significant moments are not defined around things that went according to my plan but around things that fell apart. This book was helped me to understand that sometimes suffering can open new doors or cause us to look at things in a new light.
