I've been to countless brunch spots in Chicago but Nellcote blew them all out of the water. Located in the West Loop this place is glamorous and chic with a hip vibe. Upon sitting down to the table they presented us with a complementary issue of US Weekly and the New York Times which was perfect for Sunday brunch to catch up on all the latest gossip and headline news. The brunch is prix fixe which includes shared breads, pastries, condiments, charcuterie and cheese for the table along with your choice of entree. My mom and I were swooning over the lemon curd, sugared pastries and the delicious smoked cheddar cheese. I ordered the French Omelet with asparagus, gouda, leeks and fingerling potatoes and loved each bite.
Along with a DJ spinning some awesome music this place is by far my favorite brunch spot in the city, and I look forward to visiting again soon to try out their famous pizza and pasta for dinner!
