If I ever make it to New York City C Wonder will be one of my first stops. The store was created by Tory Burch's ex-husband and mirrors the bright colors and preppy style of Kate Spade and Tory Burch herself. I'm obsessed with the fun pieces of china, colorful stationary, and stylish wellies and I'm happy to report they recently opened their online shop. But window shopping online just isn't the same as visiting the colorful eye-candy NYC store...planning my NYC getaway now!
I'm completely obsessed with the Food Network and the Barefoot Contessa. I dream of cooking with her in her fabulous home in the Hampton's and eating her famous Beatty's Chocolate Cake. Who is your favorite Food Network chef?
Same Kind of Different As Me is a true story about a modern day slave, an international art dealer, and the unlikely woman who bound them together. The book is written by both Denver and Ron and the story is inspirational in how it addresses issues such as homelessness. Definitely add this book to your must read list.

Take your heels from drab to fab with this super simple DIY trick. All you need is Modge Podge, glitter, and a paint brush for this mini project. I followed the easy instructions from the YouTube video posted below, and I'm so happy with the results. These shoes will be the perfect addition to my New Year's attire!
The new year is rapidly approaching, and I'm looking forward to ringing in the new year with friends and family and a glass or two of this sparkling holiday punch. What are your plans for the new year?
My latest read is Room, which has me exchanging sleep for flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I don't want to give away any secrets with this book, but trust me you'll be hooked on five year old Jack (who narrates the story), his Ma and the Room.

I fell in love with these mason jar snow globes from Anthropologie and thought it might be an easy DIY project. I found this great how-to guide from Sweet Something Designs and I'm so happy with the results!
(FYI I ended up using sugar instead of powdered snow and i think the look is the same)
Still looking for the perfect gift? Look no further and head over to the Chicago Blogger Network to get some great last minute ideas. You'll find my pick is the Jess LC Lake Shore Tote (#33) which would be amazing for your sister, best friend (or maybe yourself).
My bar cart has finally arrived! After searching for months I finally found the perfect bar cart for my Chicago apartment. Now the fun part begins with adding stylish accessories (and of course the must have drinks). Thankfully the Glitter Guide has the best guide for building the perfect bar stand to keep me in check.
I'm loving this book so far (even though by the end of the first chapter I was already in tears). The Art of Racing in the Rain is written from the perspective of the family dog Enzo which gives a unique view into the lives of his owners. Enzo is humorous and full of wisdom in how he understands human nature and the role of pets which gives a deeper meaning to this type of relationship. Have you read this book yet?
I've fallen in love with the The Perfectly Imperfect Home for the perfect dose of interior inspiration. Author Deborah Needleman is the founder of the former (much loved) magazine Domino, and in this book she delivers helpful advice for making your place perfectly imperfect. I love the practical tips and the fun watercolor drawings that showcase the elements needed for a fabulous room. Pick up this book for your stylish girlfriends this holiday season!
