Weekly Pick: Book Clutch

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with reading. I love the anticipation of opening a new book and the adventures that lie ahead. And if you ever thought that walking around with a book in your hand was slightly nerdy, well think again because the new trend right now is the book clutch. That's right, it's a clutch that looks like a book. Kate Spade has an amazing selection of book clutches (my favorite being Pride and Prejudice) and Natalie Portman has even been spotted with one on the red carpet.

Q is for: Quartz

Right now I'm obsessed with the light pink airy quartz color that can be worn on top and on the bottom. It's the new neutral. I just purchased a blazer and twill trousers in this color that will be easy to transition into the fall. That's right...I'm mentioning fall already!

What I'm Reading Now: Living with our Time

Living with our Time is a website that focuses on active participation by empowering people to find magic in everyday life. The participation takes on may different forms that could include events, objects, film or design. One of my favorite pieces of work is the Museum of Possibilities that invited visitors to write their dreams on balloons to tell the city how they wanted the new public space to be used. It's a great way to get people involved for a cause that benefits everyone.

Fab 5: Questions to Ask Yourself

I was reading this article the other day filled with 20 questions that could change your life. Most of the questions are relevant no matter your age, and might be essential to transforming or redirecting your life.  Here are my fab 5 questions to ask yourself:

1. How do I want the world to be different because I lived in it?

2. What do I love to practice?

3. Where should I break the rules?

4. Where could I work less and achieve more?

5. Are my thoughts hurting or healing?

P is for: Polka Dots

Polka dots have always been a favorite of mine because they are so innocent and yet chic at the same time. The dots pull in a big statement so it's easy pair with your wardrobe basics to pull off the look. I love how Blake Lively spins the trend with this sheer number to make an evening dress a little more fun and flirty instead of stuffy and serious. You'll want to be spotted in this trend (no pun intended).
