Matchbook Magazine truly is the field guide to a charmed life. This online publication celebrates all the classics, just shaken and stirred to create the perfectly blended literary cocktail. The magazine covers fashion, beauty, home decor, travel and the arts. All the essentials.

 The feature "50 classics for your closet" has me creating my checklist just to make sure I'm covered. I think I'm missing only a few. Not bad.

I think I could easily be described as a matchbook girl.

I Heart Chicago

After a post dedicated to Nashville I thought I should also dedicate a post to Chicago. It's no surprise to many that I love Chicago. So to show my love here are a few things completely necessary for living in the Windy City. 

Who wouldn't love a CTA Blue Line Pillow? Perfect for those days when you need to take out your frustrations with the CTA. The list could go on and on here, but the title of this post is "I Heart Chicago" so I'll refrain.

Third Coast Collection has created a line of stationary dedicated to all things Chicago including zip codes, area codes, neighborhoods and the CTA.

A City Girl's Adventure To The Country

This past weekend I left the windy city in search of greener pastures. So I headed to Nashville of course. As most of you know I'm a city girl at heart, but the country life may have won me over.  There's something to be said about that southern accent and generous hospitality you can't find anywhere else.

No I didn't run into Taylor Swift or get on the bar at Coyote Ugly on this trip to Nashville. But I did spend the weekend with my best friend, sipping wine at a local vineyard, shopping in historic Franklin, listening to country music downtown, and exploring a famous hotel. It was the perfect long weekend getaway.

RSVP These Invitations

Ok so I know these invitations are for a six year old's birthday party, but i'm sending in an RSVP for these invites.  I mean who doesn't want to attend a sugar plum, wear your tutu sort of party? Out & About: Public House

Yesterday I grabbed my beer loving girls and went out with the old and in with the brew at Public House. With 103 different types of beers in house and 25 beers on tap they don't disappoint. PopSugar also provided yummy cupcakes from Yumcakes, amazing mini treatments from the Dana Hotel & Spa, and sake tastings from Chicago Sake for this exclusive event. Amazing!

Weekend Rewind

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.  Where was I spotted over the weekend you ask? 

The Museum of Contemporary Art had a First Friday's event appropriately titled "Sugar" that was everything sweet.  Bright pink manicures from head2toe, red sugar cookies in the shape of a heart, Andy's delicious frozen custard, and amazing appetizers from Wolfgang Puck.

Springing Forward

Ok I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring. Maybe it's because there's almost 2 feet of snow outside or because the groundhog didn't see his shadow yesterday. Or maybe it's because my best friend is sitting poolside in Mexico right now sipping on a fabulous drink with an umbrella in it.

Regardless, I'm ready to unpack that box of flip-flops and t-shirts in the back of my closet and bury my Uggs and winter coat.
